    browser question

I am trying to make my website as browser compatable as possible. I've covered IE7, Safari 3.0.3 (522.15.5),Opera 9.23(8808),Netscape 9.0b2, Firefox 2.0.0.5. Should I worry about any earlier versions? I hear alot of issues with IE 5.5 and IE6, should I worry about these? if so can I download them and still have IE7 running correctly? BAsically how does everyone else preview their sites?

Check out these browser statistics to see what browsers people are using. They may not be accurate but they give you the general idea. Not supporting IE6 is quite a bad idea, most people might not use it as a preference, but they are forced to in school/work.

I find if you cover Safari, IE6/7, and Firefox for Windows and Mac, you've got at LEAST 95% of the market, and you're probably set in that.

Google 'multiple IE' and you'll find a guy that has compacted all of the various IE versions into an easy installer so that you can test on all version of IE down to 3 I think? It has IE6 and works with conditional statements, so is basically a proper version of IE that is able to run alongside IE7. Just make sure you have the proper IE7 installed first and it should be fine.
"write it for FireFox then hack it for IE."
