music flat sign html entity doesn't show in IE

Does anyone know how to make IE6 display a music flat sign (♭)? The html entity is #9837 in decimal or #x266D in hex, both of which work in Firefox but neither works in IE (as usual). As my site is musically-oriented I'd rather not resort to using a lame lowercase b. Thanks!

IE6 doesn't support this entity. I don't know of any hacks or workarounds for this. You may have to use an image instead. A transparent gif would probably be your best bet.
