    Question Auto Refresh Table Cell

Hi, This is my first post and I am hoping someone can help me out.

I am creating a tool that will allow me to monitor videoconferencing codecs from an internet browser to be used by our support staff. This is something that will NOT be located on a web server but run as a file on the local PC. The videoconferencing codec stores on its interface 3 jpg images which get refreshed every couple of seconds.

What I have created is an HTML page which has a table with 4 cells. 3 of these cells will display the images stored on the currently selected codec (one in each cell). The 4th cell contains a Javascript drop down menu for navigating to all of the different codecs on the network. I need to have the 3 images constantly refresh (every 3 seconds or so) so that it can monitor the conference in progress.

I have tried this and it works great if I use the META refresh. The only problem is that every time it refreshes the drop down menu collapses and makes it hard to navigate.

What would be the best way to get the 3 cells to auto refresh while not affecting the 4th cell? or if I use the META refresh is there a way to have it NOT refresh one of the cells?

I have searched all over trying to find a solution or javascript to do this but can't figure it out. When it comes to HTML editing I am not that well versed.

    Thanks for any help.

Remove the javascript and have the menu use the entire 4th segment full time?
