    hiding javascript menu when printing

I created a website that has a javascript menu. The menu is easy and very functional. However, when I print a web page the menu prints in the middle of the page covering the text. I would like to eliminate the menu from printining all together but if that is not possible it would be ok if it stayed in place so it did not cover the content. I have used a css to hide text and images while printing and that works great but it is not hiding my menu. Maybe I am not placing the div tags in the correct place??? I am getting so frustrated.
    Can anyone help please????

Do a google search for @print stylesheets.

    Moving to html/css.
