    Headings, navigation bar

I have two classes for headings on my webpage - heading and headingfirst, the latter having a reduced topmargin. Ideally I would like, whenever there is text within this class, for there to be automatically placed a named anchor there and also a hyperlink to this anchor at the top of the page (with a | to separate entries).

Again, am i going to have to use XML for this? I have never used this before, and would ideally like something I can shove in the middle of my HTML code. Can you do that with XML?

    Cheers

This is not possible with purely with HTML or CSS. However, if you add JavaScript, you can do it. With regards to XML, yes, you can do this with XSLT.
For every complex problem, there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.
