HI there- First off, let me admit up front I'm a CSS hack (ya know- self taught and driven by necessity), and consequently am having some problems with a CSS horizonal nav list as part of a site banner (placed within a table because I couldn't figure out how to do it without!). I can't get the nav to fill entire space to right in IE6, per bottom nav., and there are some spacing problems as well. It looks OK in Firefox.

Ideally, I'd like the top nav to look like nav at bottom of page (i.e. "Site map" and "Contact" as part of the blue bar). Any suggestions? I've been drawing a blank on how to make this work!

THANKS SO much in advance. (and oh yeah, be gentle)
