    Internet Explorer ie/ff width:auto displays different

    hi, i have a couple questions

    • here is my page http://veksen.net/vexen/temp/index11.htm - watch my #language div, under FF i get the wanted result, but under IE, it auto expands to its parent, why?
    • my List items on #altmenu are a little taller on IE (outside the <A>)
    • my css doesn't validate only because i use _width (line 11), is this really necessary?
    • if you had any general comment on the code and css, what would it be?

    thanks a lot, vexen.

    You don't need the _width or the min-width because the last width will override both.

    As to your links being taller, they look fine on IE7. I can't test external sites on IE6. Try adding this to your CSS
    Code:
    * html #altmenu li, * html #altmenu a {
    height:1%;
    }
    As to the rest of your code IMO you have a case of divitis.
