Exclamation Foundations first - then build.

Friends, I have found what I need at

    http://www.mako4css.com/index.htm

Well worth a look. Gives the basics of CSS

The following is now superfluous for me.

    Regards,

    effpeetee

First, let me thank everyone for the first class help that I have been given.
But I am still left with a problem.

CSS: I still have difficulties with the groundplan. OK, so I have all the various codes that I need, but I am in the position of a would be builder wanting to build a house, having almost no knowledge of how to start and being put into the builders yard with all the necessary materials but with no directions.

Up to now I have just gone along on a suck it and see basis, but I would like some general guidance as to the overall planning of the Style sheet. Can anyone point me to a source of such information.

My biggest problems are with nesting and positioning blocks of text and images. I have a WYSIWYG editor which allows me to be lazy and drag things to where I want them. I would much rather do it the hard/easy way.

    Happy coding friends,

    effpeetee

    Tutorials

Very basic, not always entirely correct, and rather outdated at that.

Therefore, I'd like to point you to the tutorials found at HTML Dog, which in my opinion will do a better job at serving as the solid foundation you seem to be looking for.
    Regards,
    Ronald.

Many thanks for the URL. It is a very good next stop.
The other site was just what I needed to get an overview of CSS. I did notice that it was an old site. But the new site - I am looking forward to.
