    Strange textbox, textarea issue

    I am having an annoying problem getting both textbox and textarea widths to stay the same between IE and firefox. Anyone have a clue? Thanks in advance.

    Code:
    textarea {
      border: 2px solid #bdc7d8;
      padding: 3px;
      font-size: 11px;
      font-family: "lucida grande", tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif;
      overflow:hidden;
      }

    .textbox_main {
      border: 2px solid #bdc7d8;
      font-family: "lucida grande", tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif;
      font-size: 11px;
      padding: 3px;
    }

    The measurements for cols and size are not equivalent. You will need to set explicit widths on them.
    Code:
    textarea {
      border: 2px solid #bdc7d8;
      padding: 3px;
      font-size: 11px;
      font-family: "lucida grande", tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif;
      overflow:hidden;
    width:200px;
      }

    .textbox_main {
      border: 2px solid #bdc7d8;
      font-family: "lucida grande", tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif;
      font-size: 11px;
      padding: 3px;
    width:200px;
    }
