    As in the title of your post you have a typo in the HTML that might cause the problem:
    Code:
    <table align="center" width="500">
    More Info Coming Soon.....More Info Coming Soon.....
    </table>
    But you should rather use a div for that instead of a table (apart from the fact that a table without rows and columns is nothing).

    Hello Pugnose,
    Merry Christmas!

    I did not even know where to start with that mess! I corrected the misspelled TABELs and it didn't help - I don't know anything about tables because I've never used them so, since I was looking for a project anyway...I rewrote a bit of your page.
    Have a look at http://www.nopeople.com/pug/

    I'm not happy with it yet but it's 4am and I need to goto bed. At least it's a start for you if your interested in doing away with tables and all that awful code, did Angelfire do that?

    A question for anyone else looking in: Why won't the menu show in FireFox??? Works fine in IE7 and validates.

    FYI, Excavator: Angelfire is a free service by lycos to create your own website (as far as I have understood). So the OP probably can't do very much regarding XHTML validation and scrapping redundant, obsolete, deprecated, and invalid code.
    The only thing one can do is make the best out of it.

    Hm, I'm not seeing that with the aboutus button. Menu seems to work now in IE6, IE7 and FF2 both on XP and Vista machines.

    I have an example/tutorial that shows how I made your buttons. It might help you figure out how it's done. See it at http://www.nopeople.com/CSS/CSS_rollover/

    If your looking for hosting I just got my sister a Christmas present - globat.com is having a half off special.

    Try this: where it says
    Code:
    <table align="left" width="100">
    Rewrite that as
    Code:
    <table align="left" width="100" cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0>
    . That should take the spacing down dramatically.

    It's true, when I first started I chanced onto a CSS forum and found Cleva_Treva preaching the evils of tables. CSS is MUCH easier to learn if you don't know anything at all about web page building!

    Pugnose, just so we don't totally hijack your thread... since angelfire is free(and seems to be CRAP) it would not cost much to move. Have you looked at freewebs.com? Also free and there seem to be pages there with good validating code.

    Bummer...

    I've never tried freewebs so probably would not be a lot of help. I only recomended them because another webpage I was working on for someone is hosted there and that page is written with well laid out and validating code.

    Oh well, think of all the experience your getting. Nothing like seeing it done wrong to show you how it should be done.

    I copy and pasted your code, and added
    Code:
    <table align="left" width="100" cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0>
    and all the spacing went away. Just remove the original
    Code:
    <table align="left" width="100">
    and put in
    Code:
    <table align="left" width="100" cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0>
    and it should be perfect. If you still can't get it to work, I'll take a screenshot of how it looks when you do the cellpadding and cellspacing to see if that's really what you need.
