    My CSS Dosen't Work

    i can#'t get my css to postion things on the webpage.

    here is my css:
    #MAINLEFT {WIDTH:33%; FLOAT:LEFT; BACKGORUND:#FFF; PADDING-BOTTOM:10PX;}

    #MAINCENTER {WIDTH:33%; FLOAT:LEFT; BACKGORUND:#FFF; PADDING-BOTTOM:10PX;}

    #MAINRIGHT {WIDTH:33%; FLOAT:LEFT; BACKGORUND:#FFF; PADDING-BOTTOM:10PX;}

    i am using div tags like this:
    <div id="mainleft"></div>
    <div id="maincenter"></div>
    <div id="mainright"></div>

    any help i will be very grateful for.

    Please tell me you aren't using the capital letters? And make sure you spell words correctly, such as 'background' and not 'backgorund'. Also you must make sure if you are using a separate stylesheet that you are linking to it, or if you are using a stylesheet within the document you have the correct syntax for it.

    To link to an extrernal stylesheet: <link href="linktoyour.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

    Or if you want it within the document place it in the <head></head> area of your page between <style></style> tags.

    It would also be advisable to set your elements a height and width so that there is some space within them!
