    Cell Border

    For some reason, my cell border isn't working.

    Code:
    td.lefthead{
    	width:100%;
    	height:32px;
    	border-bottom: 1px solid black;
    }

    <table><tr><td class="lefthead">blablablabla</td></tr></table>

    The following test case looks fine to me in Firefox 2, Internet Explorer 6 and 7, and Opera 9. I don’t see your issue.

    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
      "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
      <head>

        <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"/>
        <meta name="Author" content="Patrick Garies"/>
        <title>XHTML 1 Strict Document</title>

        <style type="text/css">
          td.lefthead {
            border-bottom: 1px solid black;
            }
        </style>

      </head>
      <body>

        <table>
          <tr>
            <td class="lefthead">Once upon a time…</td>
          </tr>
        </table>

      </body>
    </html>
    For every complex problem, there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.

    The whole story

    That "some reason" may be found in the rest of you markup and styles that you didn't show; could you please provide the entire page, preferably online, or create a test page with the necessary markup and styles that shows the same problem?
    Also, what browser did you experience this problem with?
    Regards,
    Ronald.

    the only thing I did, is added the header (doctype and that xmlns stuff) that Arbitrator posted and it worked, on Firefox. IE is having issues. Any Ideas?
