    IE6 problem with positioning a layout

    Hello all,
    I have a bit of a problem, it seems, with IE6. The issue I'm having is with the following site: http://www.concentricconcepts.com
    It displays properly in IE7, Firefox and Opera. However, in IE6 it does not display properly. It appears that the top of the page has a 10px margin and seems to cut off a small portion of the top menu. I'm having difficulties finding a work around for the issue, obviously. I'm just not sure what I need to do with my stylesheet to correct the display issue. =)

    So I am hoping that one of this forums' many users could provide some insight as to what I need to do to hack around though this issue. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello yannibmbr,
    While it's not bad to use negative margins it seems like a lot of people get in trouble with them when they do.

    I think if you remove the negative top margin from #titlebox and #menuNavTop things will go back down into the container.

    To get rid of the white space that leaves at the top add this to your CSS:
    Code:
    html, body {
        margin: 0px;
        padding: 0px;
    }
    I don't have a box with IE6 running right now so I can't test it... hope I'm right!!

    /ps, have a look at the validator

    Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
    Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad
