    Readonly word on my form

I need to find a way to make a field in my form show as a permanent word so nobody can change the word on the form field.

This works in IE but not my Netscape 4.77 browser:

    <td align="left" valign="top"><INPUT TYPE="text" VALUE="my permanent word here" size=28 Readonly="my permanent word here"></TD>

Anyway I could do this in Netscape 4.77???
