    CSS and status bar?

Hey everyone. I'm new to this site, and just as new to CSS. I know basically nothing about it. Is there a way to add scrolling text to your scrollbar without using JavaScript. The code language I can use is HTML, DHTML, or CSS. If any of you know how to do this using one of those languages, please email me at ampfor3@comcast.net Thanks.

PHP Tip: If you want to use short tags (<? or <?=$var) then make sure short_open_tag is set to "1". It really helps.

thanks, but that didn't work. Here's what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to change my myspace profile page. I've got some stuff that I want to put in the status bar, and have it scroll across. Myspace doesn't allow you to use any kind script. The only thing they will let you use are HTML, DHTML, or CSS.

thanks for trying. I did some google searching myself, and couldn't find anything. Thought maybe somebody on here may know how to do it, if it's possible.

I'm not sure what you're after exactly, but is it the <marquee></marquee> tags?

I don't think so. Don't the marquee tags affect the page itself? I don't want the text on the main page. I want the text on the bar that's at the bottom of the browser window. Will marquee still help?

Doesn’t DHTML imply the use of JavaScript? Changing the status bar is kind of unreliable anyway though since some browsers allow you to disable that.
For every complex problem, there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.
