    selected link?

    Hi guys. Tracy here
    With the below code I'm trying to have the selected link keep the same traits as the hover property. How can I do this??? Also how can I center this navigation tab within the page???
    <style type="text/css">
    body {margin: 20px 240px 20px 240px;}

    .hovermenu ul{
    font: NORMAL 12px ;
    padding-left: 110;
    margin-left: 110;

    height: 20px;
    align:center;
    }

    .hovermenu ul li{
    list-style: none;
    display: inline;
    }

    .hovermenu ul li a{
    padding: 2px 0.5em;
    text-decoration: none;
    float: left;
    color: black;
    background-color: #DCE9E9;
    border: 2px solid #DCE9E9;
    }

    .hovermenu ul li a:hover{
    background-color: #FFE271;
    border-style: outset;
    }

    html>body .hovermenu ul li a:active{ /* Apply mousedown effect only to NON IE browsers */
    border-style: inset;
    }
    </style>

    <div class="hovermenu" widh="100%" style="width: 856; height: 17">
    <ul>
    <li><a href="#" selected >Home</a></li>
    <li><a href="#">Functions</a></li>
    <li><a href="#">Interface</a></li>
    <li><a href="#">Procedures</a></li>
    <li><a href="#">Reports</a></li>

    </ul>
    </div>
