Hello, I'm new here as well as new to the task I am trying to achieve.
I think I have to create a form, import the database into it, and create some drop down menus from the table. Is this correct? Am I biting off more than I can chew for a beginner?
Here's about as specific as I can be:
I have an Excel SS with about 2700 records (there will be more) where there are common numbers identifying records (i.e. #156 might identify more than one record and someone would want to filter it so only records with 156 show up). I have converted this to both an Access db and a mySQL db just because I wasn't sure what I would need to use. I've tried doing it through Front Page but I run into issues with the ODBC. Plus I don't have it published yet and I'm trying to make it before it gets published. (Is this possible?)
I'm sorry if this is too vague - I'm just not really able to say specifics about the information I'm working with. I hope what I'm asking makes sense. It's like I know what I need at the end - I'm just having a hard time getting started.
