    Help needed with Images

    Hi All,

I just would like to start by stating i'm not a developer, i'm a network engineer so my knowledge of html is very limited, so excuse me if what i'm asking is abit noobish

I have an ISA Server that monitors Internet Access for users in my company, now this server generates errors to users for some actions like when they have used the daily internet quota and these error pages are in .html format so i decided i wanna make my own pages instead of using system default. i did my research and i have created my own and they are working properly in all regards except that the background image is not showing.

    A few things to note:
    • The image and the HTML file are in the same folder.
    • While I'm logged on that server and testing the html page the image is loading fine, however for any user only text and formatting stuff appears.
    • I made sure the image extension is correct.
    • The code i'm using for the image is → <BODY style="background-image:url(Background.jpg)">
    • This issue happens on all browsers so it is not a browser issue, i have used developer tools in IE and when hovering over the image in the element section it says couldn't load image.
    • Also tried clear browser history / cache.

I'm thinking its probably something to do with URL path, as lets say when a user is trying to access yahoo.com and the error page is generated it seems as if the image URL is yahoo.com/Background.jpg this was from the developer tools (this might be wrong though since i don't know my way around in there)

I'm sorry for making this long, but i have been researching for sometime now and it is hurting my brain, any help would be appreciated

Do you have a URL to look at to see the problem ourselves?

    Hi,

The page i made is local so am not sure how to provide a URL. I did "inspect element from FireFox" and got the following when going to the network tab

    Request URL:http://www.yahoo.com/Background.jpg
    Request Method:GET
    Remote Address:10.10.100.205:8080

So it seems as if it is trying to get the background image from yahoo.com instead of the local directory, no ?

(The IP address is the local IP for my ISA server)

Also, i'm not sure if this would help or no but the full directory for the image/html file are,
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft ISA Server\Bandwidth Splitter

Just a small correction to my OP, it wasn't IE developer tools it was on Firefox and it was through "inspect element".
