E-mail template for auto-send e-mails.
Hello there guys (and girls!)
I am rather new to coding HTML, and I'm currently programming my first automatic e-mail. It's for a project I'm working on in Asia.
I need to create various standard e-mails, such as, forgot password, thank you for registration, user sent you a message, etc etc.
So far it went ok, and I have learned a heap of things - but I have run into a few problems that I simply cannot fix, nor explain, and thus I was hoping that somebody more experienced could help me out.
I'm currently using Mandrill to test out my e-mail template, as they have a free, live, editor which instantly shows an example.
I have been sending e-mails to see what it looks like in Gmail and Outlook.com too, and checking it on my phone (iPhone 5s) in the Gmail client, and the iOS mail client.
I have mainly been testing it in my Gmail account, on the desktop, and here it's almost like I want it to look. The only thing is that I cannot remove the gap between the "header" and the "body" area.
On the iOS client, the picture in the header is very small, and text is covered by the black boxes. In the Gmail (iOS) the picture and the "Malaysia" tags (including lines) is located on the far left.
Thank you in advance!
This has been driving me nuts!

HTML and CSS are not handled the same by all email clients. Some user settings will further modify how the email is rendered.
This matrix will help you understand what is supported by various browsers:
In the end the only reliable way to insure consistent email presentation is to send text; HTML email will always have some issues for some users.
