Switching site from Joomla to WordPress, need to make menus look the same
I'm accustomed to tweaking sites, completely changing the look and feel via css, etc. HOWEVER, I'm having a difficult time wrapping my brain around modifying an existing menu layout in WordPress to matching the old menu layout from a Joomla site. Perhaps it's because I didn't built the WordPress template myself and am trying to just re-style it. Maybe it needs to be completely re-done from scratch (after all, another site using this same menu is having issues with mouseovers that I haven't yet resolved - maybe this particular menu needs to be swapped out entirely).
Here is the Joomla site and main top menu that the client wants to copy to the new WordPress site. And here is the development WordPress site.
I might also add that the WordPress menu appears to be suckerfish/jquery, and I would honestly prefer a css-only version as much as possible.
I'm not opposed to putting in a whole new menu altogether, but I'm not sure I would know how to do all of it, and I know it will involve a good deal of php as well (which I know is not the focus of this particular part of the forum).
Thanks in advance.
