My client asked me to put a Powerpoint presentation on his site, with a link to it. I am not too familiar with uploading Powerpoints.
I uploaded it to my server as I would a pdf and created a link to it.
The problem is that he wants the ppt to be "viewable" but not "editable" by the viewer.
He said that he saved it as "read only". I double-click it in my email and it does open up as a normal "slideshow", BUT when I uploaded it to the website, and click on the website link, it does not open as a "slideshow". It actually opens up Microsoft Powerpoint, and is "editable". (The extension is "ppsx").
I need to somehow put this ppsx on the site, but make it "viewable" only.
I don't really care if a viewer can download it, but I DO NOT want anyone to be able to "edit" it.
I read that maybe I should convert it to swf. Any ideas? I would appreciate any thoughts on this. Thank you, Buffmin
