I have a link on my page
<a type=search>Blue Widget</a>
There is script that will take that when clicked, the link will display search results for Blue Widgets.
What I want to do is add a query string to the end of a url that when clicked on will take the place of "Blue Widget"....i.e. www.website.com?x=red_widget When clicked on, the link will now appear as
<a type=search>Red Widget</a>and when clicked, will take the customer to a search results page of red widgets.
My problem is that I want the transition from the starting url to the search page to be seamless. Currently, a link will appear that has to be clicked manually. I want to redirect automatically, but since the link is in html tags and not an actual static web page url, I don't know how to do this. It doesn't seem like a java or meta redirect would work. It's almost like I need a script that will "click the link" for me when the page is loaded. Thanks!
