    best video format for websites?

    Dear all,

We are planning constructions on our geusthouse and I would like to shoot every week a small movie about the works that are done.

My digital camera (canon G2) exports .avi, but I would like to know which format can be use the best knowing:

    -that I'm limited in space
    -quality may be poor
-my users don't know anything about codex and stuff, so it must be kept easy

    Thx
    Berton Christophe

Use Windows Media Player to convert your .avi to .wma and use that. It is generally the best form to use on the net, or alternatively, you could try a QuickTime Movie (.mov).

Either should do the trick nicely. Also your users will not need to know about "codex and stuff" as you can embed the movie into your web page, and their browser should do the rest.
