Best video player to play HD videos on my website?

    Hello all,

If I have a handful of videos that I want to display on my self-hosted website, what is the best video player to use?

Im looking for something that will play just fine on any mobile device as well!

    Thanks in advance

What are you going to do with player on server side?
Players are used by clients in their browsers/mobile devices and there are no much chance to influence on which devices and which players they would use.

You only can provide your movie clips in some format or others (different formats are supported by different browsers). There is good introduction into question in Brian Hogan's "HTML5 and CSS3" (somewhere in chapter 3 or 4 I think).

Another option you can use - put your videos in youtube, than click "share" and copy resulting "embed" tag into your web-page. Then video is shown on your page, but hosted and managed by youtube which saves you a lot of troubles if you are just building something not very complicated. If you need complication, you really need to thoroughly study the matter before start.

    Arrow Quicktime

    Hey,

I would recommend Apple quicktime to display videos in HD on your website.

Also Vimeo and now YouTube handle HD

I'd have to side with Asseroo's second statement, Vimeo.

I've been using Vimeo on my personal website for some time now, and the web is littered with examples of it working perfectly. Off the top of my head, check out http://www.roulette.co.uk/casinos/supercasino/.

These guys have fitted it right into their design. I may be a bit late too, but i'm pretty sure the YouTube ones are really clunky and chunky! good luck!

A lot of video player you can choose. One of which are :

    1. DivX Plus
    2. Power DVD 12
    3. Power Player Movie version 1.1
    4. etc.

For more choice, you can find premium video player with HD quality.
