    Cool Help in curve edges!

    Hello!

You might say I am newbie here but for sure for some time I would be like you guys!

Well, I am developing a website on a certain restaurant/cafe and im on the interface planning stage.

I am trying to figure out how to create an implied curve of a picture or text. See this site:

    Developer.Com

Notice how frequent he/she would like using curves in his toplogo. I know a little Photoshop, but I cant figure it how this is done. what i resort to do is to create angles instead of curves which sometimes defeat my purpose of creating one.

    Does it also support transparency?

    hi
if you are talkiing about the red curves around the text. try exploring the pen tool.
it may look difficult at first, but it isn't

    All the best

    hi,

Yes i agree its' not simple, equally hard to give a tutorial here!!

<< to explain breifly create a path, make a selection (specify amount of smoothing ...and you have a curved selection, experiment with vaious options of the pen tool>>

As I mentioned somewhere else in this forum, Photoshop is the grand Daddy of all image editing programs, and very few of us know it thoroughly =100%.

    1) Refer to photoshop help menu and you will find a host of info there.
    2) visit http://www.adobe.com and go to support/training, ( there is a lot of info there too. create an account for yourself ( i think its' free/for a small fee if you are a student, clcik on inline training)
    3) sitdown with some friend who knows photoshop well and see him work.
    4) buy a book
    5) if you own photoshop practice, practice, practice
6)if you don't own, request a pal and practice on his machine.

    all the best

oooo.. I like the feeling of depth you have in this button... If anyone can post a link to a tutorial that shows how to do that, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, looks a little complicated to achieve that in Photoshop... In Fireworks 8 you just draw a rounded rectangle and move the point that changes the curve radius.
I guess every program has its own tricks.
