    Pictures of each video??

When I upload videos to my site via an uploading application I have built I then want to display all my videos on my sites main page. I am planing on doing this by calling my database that records all my videos locations. What I want to know is how do I display a thumbnail pictures of the videos that link to the videos instead of the videos them self?

Do I really have to create snap shots of each video and then upload both the video and picture to pull this off or am I missing some obvious here?

    Thanks.

Well you can do it, if you set up some of the proper coding.

    http://ffmpeg-php.sourceforge.net/

Here is a program setup that allows you to make an automated image.

However unless you generate a thumbnail of the video (on the server or on the local computer), you cannot have an image of the video without showing the video itself.
