    Convert gif to apng?

I've been looking for quite awhile now and can't find a program that can do this. Is there a Gimp plugin or some other tool that I've overlooked?

maybe is a typo but I could be wrong, so the question is, there is a format "apng" or is "a png"?
in later case gimp make this conversion, I don't know how accurate is.
another option is to use 'convert' from image magick package.

    best regards

lol, the google link puts this forum post as the first result.

Thanks for the suggestions, but so far there only seems to be png -> apng tools out there. With a multitude of animated gifs, its not really practical to break apart and save frame by frame and then convert back up. if I come across something I'll post a link.

I'm sorry that I can help. I don't know, I don't use windows and I guess you use but in case you are on a *nix the problem seems simple once you can convert a single file from a format to other.
could write a simple script to split a animated gif into files, convert each one gif to png and asamble into apng. That means 15 min to 1 hour to write and test the script, general enough so you can reuse it, bash for shell or scheme for gimp, or other.

anyway, I hope you find a proper solution for you,

    best regards
