How to load a page ahead of its slow loading Flash videos?

    Hello

Wondered what's the best way to have the page load quickly that has 2 videos on the page, in other words, I'd like the rest of the page to load immediately not being slowed down by the Flash videos loading - if you go to

    http://www.iwics.com/Technology/ODMA.shtml

this is the page I'd like to speed up - anyone else out there find this page loads sluggishly? What to do?

    Thanks

you could put a frame below that paragraph explaining 'ODMA' then have the frame set to load another file which would contain your videos.

Ya see if this works out for you...
    Code:
    <iframe width="500" height="500" src="videos.html" name="videoframe"></iframe>
then just put the code for the videos into a new html file

obviously adjust the width & height to ur page specs

Very interesting - thanks for reply - so what is an iframe and what might be any drawbacks to using iframes?

    Thanks

well iframe stands for inline frame and its used to insert a webpage into another webpage.

It will allow the webpage to load independently from the frame source page.

A drawback would be that it has a border (although i think there is a way you can remove that)

Also when using an iframe you have to specify link targets if there are any links within the page.

Setting frameborder=0 will clear the border.

For more on iframes go here.
