    How does this look?

So I was contracted to do something for a florist. A half hours work came out to be this. Anything bad/good?

it's not amazing, but i like it. Main prob i see is that it is kind of hard to tell it is for a florist. maybe try and work in some flowers someplace.

I personally think that your text towards the bottom is being interfered with by the branches of the "plants". So I think better seperation of background and foreground is in order.
Most of my questions/posts are fairly straightforward and simple. I post long verbose messages in an attempt to be thorough.

I like it. Nice choice of colors. I agree though about the flowers... maybe there is a way to implement some light flowers in the background? I'm not a big fan of numbers in front of links... maybe a small decorative bullet or ribbon? Is there a footer for the page? Could use your top green block again on the bottom to help define the site. Defiantly diggin' the fonts.

It needs more color (for a florist website) and the text needs more line-height (leading). The design would work well for print, but a serif font is hard to read online especially with so much body copy involved.

I know it's just Latin Filler but just know that no one would read all of that. You really need some headers for quick scanning. People scan on the web, they don't read.

How Users Read on the Web

Plus styling headers can improve design and be fun way to bring more to your pages.

Ok here's the first revision with some minor edits to the filler text, footer, and a flower. Tried adding more flowers, but it didn't look very good. I also lowered the opacity to the plants at the bottom. Doesn't interfere with the text as much as it does on the original.

Looking better. You know, if you were a florist, seems to me you wouldn't want to show barren twigs. Seems like it's bad advertising. Like "don't buy from me, everything I sell dies". I'd get rid of the twigs.

I really like the flower. It's lovely. Good job. The bolding on the body copy weights it down and causes an imbalance to your composition. To lighten it up a little I'd increase the leading/line-height even more. And making headers really will help people read all that. It breaks up the space.

But end the end it is your work. Overall very lovely design. You're good.

Will do some floral work later, found some great floral print brushes. But I might just use images.

Here's the look of the layout with more height added. I'll have to make note of what sizes I picked out while developing the CSS sheet.

Well it's obvious it's a half hour job , because there's not much to look at.
All looks kind of a blurry , same green everywhere.
It's not bad but it's boring.

But it's still better than 55 % designs on net.

I feathered the flower, as I can show the extraction an it's not blurry. It's not a half hour job. I do what my customer wants, simplistic, green. It's not up to me to stuff it with daisy's and what not.

You said on your first post that it's a half hour job.
The flower doesn't really make the design better.

And most of all , I said what I think of the design.
If your customer said that he/she want's exactly this kind of a design.
    It's he's/she's problem , not yours.

I think the reason the flower is out of place is because of the twigs at the bottom. They symbolize contrasting themes. I would keep one or the other. The flower does add color, but if the boss wants green then do what the boss wants. I really don't see how looking at twigs symbolizes a florist company but that is just me.

    Constructive Criticism

This is going to fall under preference but if I were doing a design for a florist. I would use bright colors and wouldn't lower the opacity on any flowers simply b/c it gives them a dull look by fading them. I personally don't like that color green either. I don't think that you find that color green in nature.

Something like this says florist to me. I have some disagreements with this design but its the closest thing I can find that is in the direction I would've taken.

Another thing, I feel really welcome but I don't know where I am. I think more focus needs to go to the name and not the welcome. A visitor won't remember how to find "that one site that gave me a really warm welcome" but it will be easier if they remembered the name. I think once you add the recent clients it will help the site b/c presumably it will add some much needed extra color.

    Good Luck.

I was thinking as a suggestion replacing the numbers at the top with an overview/shot of vibrant flowers and exotics i.e., Stargazer Lillie, groups of 2-3 colored match flowers i.e. rose or lilies, Fire & Ice roses, Orchids, Lava Plant, Birds of Paradise, Curly Bamboo, Calla Lilies, etc.,
