    Making Web Template.

    hello,
    I've been going through really hard time now. I want to make a web template... that fits perfectly on IE and FF ... I donno about the screen resolution n stuff but i dont want any horizontal scrollbar on my website.

    Please click here to view wht i did uptil now...

    now as u can see white space on the top-right side of the screen. I want to cover tht as well. I can use any image there coz of different resolution .. I tried background attribute of <td> as well but its not giving me the results the way i want.

    Am using Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Image Ready for this Template.

    any tutorial / online article related to Making Web Layout - browser and resolution compatible will be a great help.

    thanks very much,

    Saeed.

    Stop using photoshop and image ready to build webpages. You will learn a lot and be a better designer for it.
    Start here: http://www.w3schools.com Start with the html and css tutorials.

    You should really consider Learning HTML & CSS as NancyJ mentioned. It is honestly much easier then learning all this fancy software. I started with dreamweaver and it's design view features to make web-sites. I was finally talked into learning css/html and before i knew it i could make sites that load faster and are visually more exciting!

    Anyway on to your problem. without looking at your current HTML i can suggest this:

    1. Make an image that is the height u want and the color gray you need, however make the width only 1px.

    2. save this image as anything u want. later in the code i have insterted it as ""your_image_here.gif"

    3. in your html file loacate the closing head tag ex: </head>

    just above the </head> type the following
    Code:
    <style type="text/css">

    body {
    background: url("your_image_here.gif") repeat-x top left;
    }

    </style>
    4. preview in a browser. if it does not work make sure the code is looking for your image in the right folder.
