You can use coral draw for creating the advertisement for your software. Coral draw is used for vector drawing. You can also use it for designing logos, fonts, banners and posters. And it even takes minimum space in the system. Coral draw is ease to learn as compared to Photoshop.

You can also use Photoshop for creating the designs. Photoshop is used to design User interface, web pages, banner ads and video graphic. It is also used for editing photos. But the reason people mostly prefer coral draw is because it is cheaper than adobe products.

There are some designers that use the combination of Photoshop, illustrator and coral draw to fulfill their design needs. Even when the companies hire designers they demand for the designers to have the skills in Illustrator, Photoshop and coral draw. But you can you the software you are comfortable with.

And it’s the last tool anyone should use for this purpose. There are hundreds of better suited (let alone cheaper) ones for this.

Oh, great that you mention Photoshop’s actual main purpose offhand.

GIMP is a free, open source alternative to Photoshop.

Inkscape is the same for Illustrator.

Shotcut and OpenShot are a couple free, open source video editors.
