    SERIOUS comments required on Shopping Cart Program CubeCart

    Hi guys,

    This is my first post. So my sincere gratitude to all the members here goes first.

    I would require valuable comments and suggestions on the subject I mentioned above.

    I am about to launch my store with this php program CubeCart. You may get info here : www.cubecart.com

    I will use authorize.net for my credit card transactions. All are working fine, payments are successfull in test mode. But before making this system live and running, I need valuable comments from experts here in the following areas:

    Is cubecart safe for Security Issues Like CCard Transactions, not storing CC Numbers in the database etc? If any other security issues may required to look after.

    Has anyone ever faced any error or fault or losses by using this program?

    I am posting this message in this board after discussing all these matters with CubeCart Board, but I need to be 100% safe before going live, because it will be handling with my client's credit card transactions.

    Please post your valuable comments and suggestions for using this program, or you may advice if some other programs are available in the market.

    Thanks in advance,

    Soumik

    This depends on which Authorize.Net option you choose.

    SIM = Simple Integration.
    This is similar to PayPal, where the customer leaves your site to enter their
    credit card information. Thus, the CC information is stored on Authorize.Net
    servers. No SSL encryption is necessary. Once the transaction takes place,
    the customer is returned back to your CubeCart pages.

    AIM = Advanced Integration.
    This is where you actually have an SSL (secure pages) setup where you
    have forms right on your site that takes credit card information. I believe
    this does get stored on your server, and information is also passed to
    Authorize.Net via a secured/encrypted transfer. It's important to have your
    CubeCart debugging turned off so no logs are created.

    This is the same with all AIM shopping carts. In order to have a seamless
    transaction, information must be stored on your server.

    mlseim:

    Thanks for your time to look after my issue. Is that safe enough to use this kind of shopping scripts? Does any one have any practical experience of using it without having any trouble?
