    Content Management System

    Hi There,

I am looking for a whole heap of different CMS, I have all the free ones but can anyone tell me some good ones which you pay for? Actually I guess some free ones would be good too...

    Thanks,
    Tom

As far as free, I simply can't say enough good things about Textpattern (http://textpattern.com). For more intensive applications, I'm having a lot of luck with Expression Engine (http://pmachine.com).

Both feature XML-style tags that pull content from different sections (or weblogs, in EE terminology) that you designate, into templates that you have complete control over. I'm a big fan of that sort of application versus a CMS that requires you conform to their output of HTML.
