    file downloading

is there a way to make it so that when you link to a file the only option is save to disk. as opposed to opening it in a browser. for example making an adobe pdf file only able to be downloaded and not opened up within the browser?

    hi raviir,
this website may help you: http://www.faqts.com/knowledge_base/view.phtml/aid/4906

it seems your available options are:
    1. server-side mime-types
    2. an internet explorer-only javascript command
    3. remove the .pdf extension (which should be automatically added on once downloaded)
