    page to display linked pictures

This is a new forum for me. I really know very little about html much less Java. I have several personal sites that I have built, and what I was trying to do is to have pictures that are linked to open in the new page or target centered. I could make a page for each picture and then have much control over it but this would mean having a page as well as a picture for each one. This seems like a crude way of doing it, not to mention filling up directories. I had an idea to load all pictures to a special blank page that would then have the control over the pictures or whatever I linked into that page. Someone has suggested that this would be PHP. I'm not sure. I have searched this and other places for something on this subject but have drawn a blank. Could someone point me in the right direction? I would be most thankful.

    I have two suggestions.
1-You can use a pop-up and change its settings so that it will open wherever you want.
2-You can use a database and asp.

If you need help with the pop-up, I can help you.

I think that's what he wants, except he wants the image to appear centered on a new page. He doesn't want to create a page with each image. He wants to do it dynamically. I think.

Sorry for the double post, I lost control of a finger or two.

pramsey, your are right. I want to load the pictures in the middle a the page, or popup. I have a question about using the popup. If the person viewing the page doesn't allow popups will it open? This may be the way to go if it does not mean the viewer has to change their security settings. But also I'm interested in the Database ASP. It may be a way to link pictures from several sites that I host at home. I have lots of family pictures and it would be nice to have a picture database instead of loading the pics to a website. What is ASP? Thanks.

Are you placing all of these pictures in one section? If so, just place a note in that section that says "images will load in a pop-up. Please enable pop-ups at this site." Enabling pop-ups at a site is very easy. You're not asking too much from your visitors.

About the ASP, it's a language (or tool depending on who you ask) somewhat like php.

Here is the pop-up code. I've found that it will not function properly if it is not all on one line. Keep in mind that you will need to enter the url for each image that you want. I used a formula in excel, though. If I find the excel file on my computer I will post it within the next few days.
    Code:
    <A HREF=http://www.eofficeprofessionals.com/sandbox/image2.gif target=new onClick="window.open('http://www.eofficeprofessionals.com/sandbox/image2.gif','new','toolbar=no,location=no,directories=no,status=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,copyhistory=no,width=120,height=120,left=500,top=200')">click</a>
