    Should pop-ups be used?

    Hi,
    I am just condicting a poll to see if pop-ups should be used in general or if they should be avoided, please contribute to the poll as all votes will be appreciated,

    I wouldn't advise it, especially considering all major browsers have pop-up blockers now days.

    I think you need to re-word your question. Are you talking about automatic popups that create a new window when a page is loaded or popup information that is created when the user hovers over or selects a link.

    My vote would be to avoid the automatic popups all together. However, I think there are definitely situations where the user requested popup is acceptable.

    Yeah there are some valid uses for them while those are few and in between, nonetheless like hyperbole said, maybe you can provide more information as to what context you are using them in.
