    Question Send a card

Has anyone had any hands-on experience with the way that visitors can send a card from your website, while subtly promoting your website?

(Not looking for the ones that subtly advertise someone else's website!!).

Any ideas on where to start please?

    Any help appreciated.

    Saz.

Like e-cards? Yeah I've done that before now but I didn't really like the idea and it looked rubbish so I removed it

Well what server side language are you running? There are several e-card scripts around on the net, most of which are free.

    Question

Thanks for the input Weazel, I can use PHP with my hosts - but have to say, that all of the free ones that I've seen, were subtly and not so subtly advertising another website! Definitely looking for a way to do it, that doesn't advertise another website.

    Any help appreciated.

If some one takes the time to write a script why should they not be allowed to put some advertising for their site? If you are going to use some one elses code why not help them out and give them credit. Why on earth do you deserve the credit? And on top of all that if you cannot go though the SC and edit out the credit why are you complaining about some one who knows PHP well enough to make a script when you your self cannot even be bothered to learn the language?!
Note: I do not test code. I just write it off the top of my head. There might be bugs in it! But if any thing I gave you the overall theory of what you need to accomplish. Also there are plenty of other ways to accomplish this same thing. I just gave one example of it. Other ways might be faster and more efficient.
