    using SSL to take secure information

    hi, im new to web building and would like to know how you would go about including SSL in a page so that customers could enter secure information, submit it, and then it is processed my end.

    anyone know about this stuff?

    Most hosting providers allow you to add the SSL to your site.

    This is not however free. They provide you with SSL package via SSL service web site.

    But I've heard of Java-based SSLs which're on Java-based Web Servers.

    ok cheers...didnt realise u had to pay to use it,, may have to rethink that plan!

    You're hosting may provide Shared-SSL which is often free. Basically they pass the info through their SSL server.
