    Search Engine Submission

Hi, is there a place i can submit my site to MANY different search engines? And is there maybe a way you pay some of the search engines to have your site listed fast, and in like the top 10 listings???

    thank you!

I really need to write something up on this, since this doesn't come up that often, but the answer is too long to not write something definitive up....

You don't pay SEs to list your site faster, you pay for them to review your site faster. Typically there is no gaurantee that you will even get listed, just that you will get reviewed faster (and yes, you technically would get listed faster if they did approve you, rare, but true).

Mass-submission is about as useful as suicide. It's going to end up bad no matter what you do. This is considered spam by most SEs, and they know the IPs/footprints/urls/other unique identifiers that services/programs like this use and they often block them entirely. If they are not blocked, they are usually flagged for an alert or human review. If they are not blocked or flagged, they may in a few years show up. And, following it not being blocked or flagged, there are other factors:

if you submit multiple pages within one domain within a certain amount of time: blacklist (criteria varies)
if you are already listed and update again without having a real update in your code: possible drop in ratings
if you submit the same site from different ips: possible blacklist
if you submit your site from a specific referer (ie, spam link): blacklist

I could go on and on...

What you need to do is make sure your pages are perfect. You aren't spamming keywords or description, you aren't using inept tricks to get listings (blacklist), you are linked from as many external sites as possible, that your main domain name is very good (most SEs give the domain the most weight and often throw out the weight of other pages). Then submit your main pages, one page at a time, on page at a time per day and then never submit them again.

Paying for search engine listings is a scam anyways, you are mostly paying for FFA listings, which really will ruin your day.

It goes on and on and on...in short...don't use these types of programs or services. If you really want listings, you need a company that basically knows all this stuff and handles the submission of your site accordingly. Not a site that sticks you into a database that queues up and fires at the SEs every night...

first and best thing i have found is domain purchase..

A new domain will get detected from the big spiders, simply because they monitor for new record entries. Putting a placeholder page at the very beginning with some basic meta tags will help in re-indexing later. If you want them to "revisit" after, good to add that at the beginning. Scoring early is a good thing to get going. Basic tags, good title and simple unique body content should get you listed at the start of a new domain.

meta tags ! good key words....

use keywords in the page titles if possible..
research where you want to be top 10.. see wha those pages did...
then emulate to try to be in the top 10...

and get LINKED>>. especially to a popular site. one that has alot of traffic..

and be aware that.. google for example runs spiders about once a month.. the info on google now was archived/ spidered/ cached on July 2nd.. and spiders will run in the next day or two probably.. and those results will be posted in a few weeks...

best help on search engine placement tho is linkage...

and dont forget. the best laid plans... after you do show up on searches. you will want to check stats.. see what REAL search words were used and how your site was found. then adjust your site if needed.

luck. yell if ya need more specific examples or help.

...then, you look at the top listing and it doesn't follow that at all...heh heh

    Try here, too.
Zoobie or not Zoobie...That is the problem.
