    Transferring a Wordpress site

So I have a client that requires me to build a Wordpress e-commerce site. Can I build the site on my personal server and then simply transfer the folder to their server afterwards? How would I accomplish this?

Perfect that's what I was wondering as someone who often builds sites locally. Will it even transfer items in a data base(images, products)?

Yes, that’s done everyday, everywhere in the world. Websites are just a bunch of files and sometimes a database. Basically all you need to do is to copy all the files and the database to the new server, adjust the domain/path settings, and you’re done.

Wordpress has an extensive article on how to move it, you just need to do a simple internet search.
Ah, well, it is so simple that I’ve done it for you: http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress
