There are two method of page redirection one is permanent redirection (301) page redirection and another one is temporary redirection (302) page redirection. It's done by change in .ht-access or through coding.

Usually the problem is the (actually redundant) “www” subdomain in front of domains where, if not correctly redirected, websites can be accessed at e. g. http://example.com and http://www.example.com and it shows the same content although technically they are two different websites (one is on a subdomain, similar to e. g. http://blog.example.com).

The solution is an .htaccess no-www redirect like this:
    Code:
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.(.+)$ [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://%1/$1 [R=301,L]
This also works the other way ’round (redirect non-www to www domains) for which there are numerous examples online.
