I want to define the search type in my search box

    I have a search box

    EXAMPLE:
when the user types in 1234 they get results for 1234, 01234, 12345, 712345hq687.

    WHAT I WANT:
when the user types in 1234 they get results for ONLY 1234 not in addition to 01234, 12345, etc..

when the user types in 12345 they get results for ONLY 12345 not in addition to
    712345hq687

    -------------
I want this to happen without the user having to type in their string using "" or anything else. how can I code the default search to be exactly what they typed in and nothing more or less?

    Regards,

That depends on the script you are using, of which you have provided no line of code so far. So there is nobody that can answer your question as it is.
