    Paste the following code in head part of your html page

    <!--[if lt IE 8]>
    <script src="http://ie7-js.googlecode.com/svn/version/2.1(beta4)/IE8.js"></script>
    <![endif]-->
    Hope this will enable your site to be viewed to IE8

    Hi THANK YOU so much for you reply BUT unfortunately this has not fixed the problem!! I put the code directly beneath the head tag, but it still doesn't work on IE8?

    Furthermore, I just noticed that in IE8 it says errors at the bottom left of the browser, and when you click that, it comes up with all my javascript and says "Jquery is undefined"

    I am getting this error, maybe your IE8 doesn't have Jquery installed...

    Code:
    Webpage error details

    User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; InfoPath.2; .NET4.0C)

    I've just tried in my ie8 using the F12 developer toolbar then switching to "ie8" and it works fine - the only errors I see are validation errors in the html

    Use given code in head part of your html page.

    <!--[if lt IE 8]>
    <script src="http://ie7-js.googlecode.com/svn/version/2.1(beta4)/IE8.js"></script>
    <![endif]-->
