Are there any good tools for making CSS jQuery animations?
So, over the past several years I have made a lot of Flash animations/interactives for our sites. Now, we are trying to get away from Flash as much as possible but I am concerned with cross-browser functionality (for instance, css filters that works in IE 9 won't work in IE8, things that work in FF won't work in IE, etc)
I am trying to find some good authoring tools that might help with remaking these animations, something that doesn't add a lot of unecessary code, overhead, etc.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

jQuery has been used and proven for years, on thousands of websites, even with IE 6.
If you don’t want unessecary code and overhead then forget authoring tools and code by hand. No tool is better than the person using it, and if you know what you do you can outperform any tool in terms of conciseness and effectivity.
