    Need PHP Applications Recommendations

I'm new to building web pages and I don't know a thing about PHP yet. I know how to create the forms in HTML, but I don't know how to add a web app on the server side so that users can submit the form and the results are emailed to the client. All I'm looking to do at this stage is create simple contact forms. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive, easy to use solution?

    Thank you!

I'd first check with your web host. Many web hosts offer an assortment of applications that are installable from the web based control panel that they provide. If they don't have something you need and you feel comfortable with installing some ready made application that might require some technical knowledge in getting installed then you can look around places like hotscripts.com where they have a large assortment of both free and commercial ready made scripts and many offer support in installation and such.

There is a simple script called Form Mail (http://www.scriptarchive.com/formmail.html)

There is an option for a paid service, but they also have a free download of the script you can install on your own site. I've used it in the past and it was pretty easy to use.

Also, this may or may not help you, but I work with WordPress sites a lot and there is a great plugin called Gravity Forms (has to be purchased). It has some really nice functionality. I don't know what type of projects you're working on exactly and whether it would make sense to install WordPress for them, but if so, that plugin is the best I've found.
