    Question robots.txt how to excluse html validator ?

    Does anyone know what to put in robots.txt to make it so the w3c validator can't access any of the pages ?

    *blank look* robots.txt has nothing to do with your code validation (w3c validator)

    Well I thought as it is a robot although not a search engine one there might be a way to prevent people from using the html validator to view the html of my site.

    And no I am not one of those fools trying to protect their html

    the validator will show errors no matter how 'carp' your coding is. So to stop the validator showing errors, code without errors Nice and simple

    Take out any character encoding and doctype tags in the code.

    Example:
    HTTP Content-Type field.
    XML Declaration.
    HTML "META" element.
