    Is it possible to do a "spectrum analyzer" sortof thing for music in websites?

    Just curious whether it's possible to do something like Winamp's "spectrum analyzer" for embeded music within websites. If it's possible, is there a turotial somewhere?

    It would be possible in flash, but as far as I'm aware javascript has no capabilities to measure pitch, frequency etc..

    A java applet is also another alternative.

    Hi My first post

    As mentioned Flash can do it and although it's pretty hard to set up, Flashkit.com offers a wack of free ones that are very easy to set up. The only drawback is that you have to use one of the (thousand) tunes provided by flashkit. I made my own using the flashkit one as a study.
