    New Website Topics?

Hey all, I have had several websites, and all have had wonderful topics. I just cannot seem to keep a website on one topic, I like too many different things. Anyhoo, I am making a new website and am looking for topics. I know that the site should be on something that I like. But there are already better sites out there for what I like, and I'd just end up stealing content.

What I am wondering, is what is something that I could use as a community website? Something in which people help people, and give advice about products. Sort-of like a reviewing website.

Anyhoo, Here is the site so far, so you can see what it looks like and how it is going to be working.

    Community Site

*NOTE* - There are a few 'themes' for this site, I just have the current one as the default. Members are able to customize the site and make contributions.

Looks very good. Just a copy thing.

I clicked through to your news page. There you have examples of news types. Under normal circumstances I would have read this then clicked away at "US"

Types of news being as an example: Entertainment, Computing, Home Life, Arts and Crafts, World News, Local News, US, War, Music, Technology, Gaming, etc
I would have thought the site was centered on US issues that don't concern me. I'm aware that it's not final copy. Just thought you might want to watch out for things like that.

Unless of course it is a US specific site. In which case please disregard.

    Ahh

I see your point. Edited that article. Site is not going to be focused on the US. Also got rid of war, as it isn't usually an ever-happening topic.

    Any other tips/suggestions?

    To actually answer your question.

I've seen product specific sites that work well as you're describing. And large sites that cover everything under the sun.

Realistically I think targeting a specific group of products might work. The trick would be to find something that isn’t already well covered. Or cover something better than it's now being done.

Groovy ~ Now to go out into the world and brainstorm up something that I am interested in, like doing, and can afford to review a lot of.

I greatly appreciate your input. Hopefully some other people will let me know what they think. Because, afterall, its not what looks good to me. It is what looks good to the visitor.
