Macintosh What is a good Bandwidth Detection Script?

I am streaming video and I want the user to be played a high or low res video depending on their available bandwidth, but first I need to figure out there bandwidth, videos will be viewed by corporate people who I must assume will not be able to answer the question if they have a fast or slow connection if I give them a prompt.

You can't even youtube can't, but you can display the video in low mode and if the user thinks he's internet is fast enough he'll turn on high res.

This is for corporate b2b stuff, our viewers are not technically inclined enough to do that, it needs to be one click and load no problem and any computer.

That's what youtube does, one click on the HQ button and it's high quality and click again it low quality.

go to youtube and see it working, if it's not what you want so I think what you want is impossible.

I'm sorry but I found out this flash player that checks bandwidth :
    http://www.flowplayer.org/plugins/st...g/bwcheck.html

You can get it's source code because it's open source.
