    Cashflow form Help

Hi i am trying to design a form that simply adds the value of a series of rows and provides a total I have no idea how to go about this but if someone could provide me a sample of code that basically does addition on two form fields and provides the answer in another field i would be grateful and should be able to take it form there.

    regards

    Hum..
    Would this be intant changes?
What language are you looking into? Javascript might be a good one for client side code.
Or do you want it done on submit?

Im not fussed if it is real time or on submit i am informed also that Java script would be the best way but have no idea really, i have some experience in php and mysql but very basic really.

eventually i wiould like it to add up Columns of numbers and submit the totals of the additions to another page but first step first i guess and any bit of code that can add a column of fields would be a start for me

    thanks for your time

    regards

Well, I am sure with your basic php knowledge, I am sure you would be able to figure out how to add the total on submit, if not, there is the php forum you can look into.

I don't know much javascript or php, but I can tell you I know how it works, and if I wrote out some pseudo code, you would be able to understand it.

So, I suggest (because I wont be able to give you the code, and I would if I could) that you ask either in the php forum, for a on submit addition of the text boxs' sum, or ask in the javascript forum, for the real time method.

I believe you know exactly how to explain what you need, and you will find many helpful people in either of the two forums that would be happy to give you the code, or start you on your way.

Sorry that I can not be any more help to you.
